Going Green

It’s not a new fad.  Going Green is slowly gaining popularity with households and businesses.  For now, there are higher costs associated with the purchase and/or installation of green products.  As new technologies are developed, those higher costs should dwindle.   However, even with the higher costs, the savings produced by the green products are worth the extra expenditure.  “As ye give, so shall it be given unto you.”"  When you have little to start with, it makes the giving a little more challenging.  Yet the Universal Laws say that whatever you put out shall be returned unto you ten fold.

And this site is especially for people who are embracing the implementation of going green whole-heartedly.  That includes hard to find building materials, like paint or driveway resurfacing materials all the way to cosmetics made via processes that are green, like no harmful emissions into the air, etc.

I will do my best to monitor this site and keep all the articles truly relevant to this site’s core theme.   However, time constraints mean that monitoring will not occur on a daily basis.  So if you bookmark this site, (and we hope you do) and come back and there is an article about “dungarees in the old west” or other irrelevant article, know that I haven’t swept through here yet.  One of these days, I’ll hire a virtual assistant and hope they know what “relevant” means.

Please look around.  If you are in search of a particular green product or service, leave a comment.  Maybe I or another reader can direct you to what you seek.

Save That Business Card Tree

Do you go to trade shows, seminars, or attend networking meetings like BNI or the chamber of commerce?  Places to exchange your business information with others who may have an interest in your products or services.  Often you get home with a stack of cards that then need to be organized: added to a rolodex, a card file, your PDA or other management system.  What if there was a better way?  A way to save the tree that sacrificed its life to make all those cards.

Ta Da!  Enter the virtual business card.  You send your name and email address to a code word and automatically receive the owner of that code word’s information.  Press save and there, you’re done.  Want to try it?  Send ” SECRET-YourName Youremail ” to 41242 Use that format:  secret dash your name space your email to 41242 You will receive my virtual business card to your phone.

It can be easier than that, if you want.  Someone hands you their business card and asks for yours.  Just say, “You have a cell phone?  Text SECRET to 41242 and it will be delivered to you.”   Then you only have their cell phone number and you will have to match it and add their name and any information you want  – from their business card.

This opens a whole new ballgame for you and the potential of marketing.  For more information, you may want to visit:
